somatic PSYCHOTHERAPY
EMBODYING OUR WHOLENESS
Individual MindfulNess-Centered somatic Psychotherapy for adolescents, young adults, women, helping professionals and change makers.
We’re all just walking each other home – Ram Dass
The human journey is a continuous path of discovery and insight. There are periods in our life when our sense of awe, gratitude, and love for life feels incredibly present and tangible. However, there are also moments when our inner compass shifts its focus and we can lose sight of our “true north” and how to access our inherent wisdom and sense of wellness. We may feel untethered, like we have lost part of ourselves, or experience disconnection from who we know ourselves to be in the world. Mindful-Somatic Psychotherapy utilizes “talk therapy” tools with somatic and mindfulness practices to support clients on the journey of coming home, reconnecting to our inner compass, our purpose, and remember our true nature. With presence, authenticity and deep listening, Meredith will support you in creating the healing journey that best meets your unique needs and desires for change, cultivating a renewed sense of awe, gratitude, and love that makes space for a growth and transformation that is most nurturing and wise for you.
Meredith recognizes the importance of supporting those in the helping profession and offers a space of healing and belonging, creating the container to deepen a connection to ourselves, community and, the more than human world.
It is Meredith’s intention and belief that this work is most beneficial when it can be applied to the real world and not remain solely within the therapeutic container. She is committed to supporting clients integrate their work in sessions to their lives and is passionate about weaving somatic practices into mind-body-spirit wholeness.
Somatic Approach: Shining Your Wisdom
Drawing upon Hakomi principles, Mindfulness-centered Somatic Psychotherapy allows our minds to take a rest and begin to listen to the wisdom of the body.
In traditional “talk therapy” there can be an emphasis on “thinking” and “knowing” and by incorporating mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy, we integrate the wisdom from the body and heart with the mind. Through mindfulness and somatic approaches, we slow down, cultivate presence, and create the conditions to embody your wisdom and let it shine.
